Local Bookshops

Waterstones

LG17, Kingsgate Centre, James St, Dunfermline KY12 7QU, UK – 01383 720237

Decent selection of books considering the size of the store However the staff had never heard of Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens which i find to be awe-inspiring

Better World Books

Unit 10, Castle Industrial Estate, Queensferry Rd, Dunfermline KY11 8NT, UK – 01383 841437

I worked there shortly and both the work & people are alright. People are nice and helpful, the work itself requires one to pay attention and the time flies so fast because of that. It's not as strict place as other companies like Amazon are. Things seem to be kept in a more personal and friendly manner. Team leaders are great and you can also listen to your own music while working. Some books get rejected for poor condition so there's a great possibility to get some interesting books for yourself for a minimal fee. IF you're lucky to start working at a good time of the year you can get 40 working hours weeks, but other than that it's mostly whenever the agency calls. Despite that it's one of the best jobs I've had in the UK so far.
